(Glen Rice was held to 15 points, but Rumeal Robinson and Terry Mills combined to hit 11 of 14 shots for 30 points to lead the fourth-seeded Wolverines into the South Region Finals. Arhtur Lee and Kris Weems combined for 35 points to once again lead the Cardinals, but Michigan shot 53.6% and Stanford was unable to keep pace)

(Dee Brown scored 8 of his 29 points and Luther Head 7 of his 27 in the extra period as the sixth-seed Illini took the chomp out of the second-seeded Gators. MIDWEST REGION FINAL

(Sherron Collins, Darnell Jackson and Sasha Kaun each scored 12 points and the second-seeded Jayhawks upset the top seeded Spartans and will meet North Carolina in the Final Four. Stacey King had 26 points and 6 Sooners hit double figures as Oklahoma upset UCLA and will battle Illinois in the Final Four in a battle of former runner-ups. Oklahoma blew an 18 point second half lead as UCLA roared back to tie the game at 98. Harvey Grant, who finished with 17 points, hit a floater to give Oklahoma the lead back for good at 100-98. Tyus Edney had 22 and Charles O'Bannon 21 for the Bruins.)

(James Worthy scored 19 points and Sam Perkins 14 as the Tar Heels let a 24-point lead dwindle to one before holding on and advancing to the Championship Game. CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
